He further emphasized that the signal was completely unintentional, occurring amid the excitement following the team’s last score. “I just showed the incorrect digit,” he noted. “The action was inadvertently done. This is sincere. Should you call it accidental, you can. However, it got corrected rapidly.”

This is not the first time an league proprietor has been penalized for inappropriate behavior. Previous cases include:
- Carolina Panthers proprietor Tepper was penalized $300K for throwing a drink at spectators in early 2024.
